NYX – Powder Puff Lippie review

I love my lip colours however I do find myself going for the same kind of shade time and time again. As such, I was a sucker to the NYX Powder Puff Lippie in the shade Squad Goals (£8, Boots). This is the perfect subtle nudey pink that provides a nice soft hint of colour without screaming for attention and being too in your face.

The application is simple and buildable, which is quite new for a lipstick as I often find colour payoff is all or nothing. The cushion applicator, much akin to the Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer’s applicator, seems to play a great part in the finish of the product and helps to give it that soft, blurred, powdery effect that makes the lip look and feel velvety.

The formula sits well on the lip although top ups will be needed throughout the day. That said, you won’t get to the end of the day with shrivelled up dry lips as the creamy formula provides sufficient hydration.

Overall, for those looking for a subtle yet buildable lip product, I would recommend you give this a try.

If you have tried this product yourself let me know what your favourite go-to shade is?

Thanks for reading, H xx

  1. NYX have such a stellar range of lipsticks, there’s so many to pick from based on personal preference. I personally love their Suede in Soft Spoken and their Butter Gloss Intense in Chocolate Crepe as well. I’ll be sure to swatch this next time I pass by their stand. X

    1. Thank you for reading!
I do enjoy the butter gloss; I have the shade Angel Food Cake. Similar kind of pink to the Powder Puff but a lot less subtle. I haven’t seen the Swede but will definitely be taking a look. x
