So, it has been a while since my last blog post and I thought what better way to start (again…) than with a favourites post.
First on the list is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit. I fell in love with this instantly and despite it being a little pricey, it is BEAUTIFUL! Now, I am one of those annoying people who, when you get something expensive, try to savour it and say “it’s for a special occasion” therefore I have not used this as much as I should. However when I have used it I feel like a glowing goddess. The powders have a lovely almost creamy, lightweight texture that gives you that natural radiance as opposed shimmer overload. I would thoroughly recommend popping to your local Space NK store to try these powders out for yourself.
Next up is the Jo Malone Mimosa and Cardamom cologne. I first discovered this when it first launched as I received a sample in a magazine. I instantly fell in love with the scent and much to my joy, it lasted a long time on the skin. From that moment, everytime I saw a Jo Malone counter I would have to stop and have a sniff. I am probably not the best at describing scents however I will give it a go… I would suggest that it was quite a mature scent however I am 22 and that has not put me off. It is quite a fresh scent and somewhat floral however it is sweet and mellow and therefore would probably work well for people who often get headaches from overpowering perfumes. Every inch of this product screams luxury – from the packaging to the product – as a result it does have quite the price tag. Therefore lends itself to being a treat as opposed to an everyday.
Another fragrance product is the Penhaligon’s Scent Library. This is a brand that I had, until receiving this set, always looked through the window at the shop, too scared to enter as I would not know where to start. Plus, I would probably have wanted everything! This is a great little set as it features 10 sample sizes which all smell amazing. Upon receiving this, I did not realise that it had male and female scents in there. This may put some people off however I love that element because I do occasionally enjoy a more masculine scent. This product is a great gem of a gift as it has that feeling of luxury but with a reasonable price tag. Once I have finished mine I would definitely repurchase.
Last but certainly not least is my beautiful note book. This is from Kikki K, a store that I recently discovered with a friend while wondering around Covent Garden (p.s. it smells amazing in there!). For anyone who has never heard of the brand and are as much of a stationary hoarder as I am – you need to check this place out. Again, it is slightly on the pricier side but totally worth it. They have a lot of positivity related notebooks and many organisational products as well as some quirky items. The notebook I have is a regular A5 lined hardback with the pretty ombre pink cover and a cute little butterfly. Inside, there are some great quotes for that added positive vibe and would make the prefect little diary or place to jot down random thoughts throughout the day.
There we have it, a little snap shot of some current favourites. If anyone is reading this and made it to the bottom (hooray!!), please let me know what your favourite things to use are – I am always on the look out for new brands and products to try.
Until next time…
